Cody Voss was born in Louisiana, raised and lives in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Galena Park High School, Sam Houston State University and did his graduate work at the New Orleans Baptist Seminary.
Cody accepted Jesus as his Savior at Market Street Baptist Church when he was twelve years old. He surrendered to Music Ministry when he was sixteen years old following the first Youth Led Revival at Market Street Baptist Church.
While Cody was at Sam Houston State University, he served as Choral Director for the Texas Department of Corrections, and Minister of Music for Second Baptist Church, Huntsville, Texas. Following his education at New Orleans Baptist Seminary, Cody served as Minister of Music/Youth at First Baptist Church, League City, now named Bay Area Church. He has served at Second Baptist Church, Corpus Christi and Central Baptist Church, Bryan/College Station.
Cody served in Full-Time Music Evangelism for twenty-five years for preachers as Dr. Vance Havner, Jimmy Draper, Henry Blackaby, Dr. A.B. Lightfoot, Dr. Charles Killough, Jim Dickson, Paige Patterson, Dr. David Davis, and many others. He has served as Interim Worship Pastor at Sagemont Church, University Baptist Church, Clear Lake Baptist Church, and Easthaven Baptist Church. He was also on staff at Fairmont Central Baptist where he served as Worship Pastor for eighteen years.
Cody has led worship for numerous youth and college camps and has made multiple television appearances. He has been blessed to enhance Christian Ministry and the Lord Jesus Christ by writing and producing over seventy-five songs and choruses that have been written in the past ten years. He has produced three Christian Music CD's and is presently working on his fourth.
Presently, Cody Voss serves as Worship Pastor at Forest Oaks Baptist Church. He considers himself to be a preparer in worship based on the Scripture in Isaiah 40:3, "In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our Lord."
Cody is married to Suzy Pledger Voss. Together they have three children, Codysue, Miles, and Elindabeth, plus seven grandchildren.
